I think the term x-slop might be a psyop. Only seen it used to address things that are painstakingly hand made. Small indie games, long form YouTube essays, indie music, ect. If someone spends a great deal of energy making something and people like it. There is a group of people labeling it x-slop.

I truly can't stress this enough: No one's art is good enough to justify them being miserable to work with. Almost everyone I've worked with has been wonderful, but the handful of folks that weren't brought the whole team down by being egotistical, sexist, condescending, etc.

The great thing about videogames is there already exists more games than I'd ever be able to play in a single life time, so there is absolutely no reason why I have to bother with anything using AI, generative, shite. Easiest thing for me in the world to go "Oh? not playing that then"

Speaking from exp, the hardest part of a campaign is when you're halfway into it when the newness has worn off. It feels like you're not getting as much done and can feel like a slog. THESE ARE LIES!
