My heart hurts to hear about James Ransone’s death. An incredibly skilled actor, who made each role stand out on screen. While not received well by the public, Sinister 2 was one of my favorite movies due to his brave-while-terrified protagonist.

Then my open question to queer folk/horror fans would be: how would you include queer folks where gruesome murder is the genre? Characters will be off’d.
Would the couple’s deaths be less shocking if it were a hetero duo? Where would a gay person fit into Weapons that’s considered appropriate?

I mean your opinion is subjective and my point isn’t even that they actually got “the worst” treatment, it’s that queer death in horror uses queerness to add to the shock factor. Let’s build up this cute happy gay couple’s story so that it’s even more upsetting when they die. That’s what I hate!
