Sometimes I do stuff.
So if you’re looking for a nice #GlutenFree recipe for red velvet cake, just use measure-for-measure GF flour in a “standard” red velvet recipe. But separate the eggs and whip the whites. Then fold the whites in gently at the very end.

Today I experimented with the eggs. Separated yolks from whites. Added the yolks as usual and whipped the whites. Then folded in the whites just before baking and… SUCCESS! Red velvet cake that rose in the oven and held shape!

The only criticism I have of the essay is that it’s too narrow in focus. Apple and Google control the apps used for distribution of this material. But the GPU, compute, network, and storage vendors contribute to its creation. Why THE HELL are they still shipping product to X?

...That’s all for this thread. I hope someone finds it helpful! #Ebay #Fraud #IdentityTheft

...When this happened, I Googled the local police for the town, called them, and asked them to contact the buyer to let them know of the fraud. I provided my local PD police report number to back the fraud claim, and in 2 of 3 instances, the buyer cancelled in less than 30 minutes...

...Third, take action! My fraudster tried to auction several items on Ebay. I responded to every question about the items with the response, “User terp-76 is a fraudulent account using my name and email without my permission. Please report them to Ebay and DO NOT make a purchase.”...

...Second, file an identity theft report with your local police department and the FBI’s IC3 office. If ANYTHING comes back on you, at least you have records to indicate you were aware of the potential fraud and tried to take action...

...First, report early, and report again if you’re not satisfied with the response the time. It seems my first attempt at reporting the fraud never reached the Trust & Safety team. I suspect something got lost in communication with the first customer service rep...

Nine days later, this thread comes to a close. Ebay has finally closed down the fraudster’s account and let me know that the issue is resolved. What I’ve learned...

Anyway, reports open with the local PD and the FBI. Also called the NJ State police and they contacted the buyer to let him know not to make payment. Now just waiting on #Ebay to adjudicate the issue.

Ruminating on the whole “How’d they compromise my email?” question, it seems they didn’t. Ran a test with my son and found #Ebay never validates the email address. They just text a code to a random phone number.

Note to #Apple, you want to know the “perfect” time to transition from one track to the next? It’s when the first track is done!

Since they stole me email address and my name, Ebay user terp-76 is a fraudulent account!
