Not, really no, all a gun gives you in those sort scenarios is about an extra 50ft in which you can take action (200 yards if you have a rifle unless you're a real crackshot but what are odds of that) when a shooter's back is to you, other than that just as risky. Don't BS yourself about that.

Its nice to know there are at least some people who initially signed onto to the Trump project that are capable of a modicum of self-awareness. We may yet avoid the worst case scenario if there are enough them. Still the damage that has already been done will take decades to mend.
