It’s 4 am, I am up with agonizing pain from the spinal break that makes me extra vulnerable to infections and the ligament problems made worse by COVID, grieving a loss that’s barely 24 hours old, and I wish I could get ableists to magically feel a fraction of what I do.

When you write the whole piece around the idea of “MeToo” as an adequate description of what caused specific men to lose specific positions, and when you do this incredibly weird cutesy business to avoid *mentioning what happened*, you do a disservice to readers.

A Charlotte pastor said Border Patrol came into his church and arrested a father in front of his wife and kid. The folks were outside on the property cleaning up the yard when ICE started chasing after them. Some ran in the church thinking it's off limits to ICE. Apparently not.
