I stopped by the annual Meet the Presses event in Toronto and picked up two books: Daniel Maluka's, "Unwashed," and Trynne Delaney's, "The Half-Drowned."

I wanted to buy more books, but I stopped myself.

Today is the five-year anniversary of the launch of my first chapbook, "Surface Area."

It was a freezing night, but so many people showed up to celebrate and support me, even my local barista!

But that's what I love most about being a writer: the community we make. ❤️
