Over at Elmo’s place there is a fierce discussion about the Jacob Savage piece on “discrimination” against white men in academia.

It shocks me that there are people who still believe that universities were an unblemished meritocracy until the doors opened to women and people of color in 1970.

My experience with a beloved relative: rehab and troubled teen programs, which re virtually unregulated in some states, not only do not work, but they harm kids by putting them in an environment packed with out of control, highly disturbed peers.

My 93 year old mom feels the same way as Trump does about her powers of cognition. She’s so wrong.
Every part of this is bonkers. The intro is bonkers. The transition to his health is bonkers. The mention that other presidents didn't need cognitive exams is bonkers. The claim that this screening test is somehow hard is bonkers. The idea that criticism of him is treason is bonkers. All of it.
