My woo-iest belief is that dogs share a collective unconscious, and that there is a bit of every dog we’ve lost in the ones we know today. It got me through a sudden and traumatic loss and I am ok with holding onto it.

I’m doing okay, all things considered. Best thing I saw was the crumb of my latest sourdough loaf! Worst thing, exclusive of the news, was seeing that we’ll be getting ice and freezing rain tomorrow instead of lots of snow.

It shouldn’t be limited to those groups. It’s ok for *anyone* to want a dog that is predictable, that has a breed-specific temperament that suits your lifestyle, whose background is a known quantity. People should not need to roll the dice on a rescue to feel ok about their choice.

Firmly on the shhhh! side of this conversation, personally - especially when there will be sing along showings next month. We’re waiting for the first rush to be over before going for this very reason.
