Basically everything that the body has learned up until that point -- what's good, what's bad -- is essentially erased from your humoral (bone) memory and has to start from scratch. The memory doesn't return on its own. Your body has to be exposed to the bad shit again and again to rebuild.

I start off more in-person conversations lately with a, "You know... I..." then I just trail off and shake my head. Literally have no words these days. I don't know where to begin. Don't know how to convey my feelings to anyone outside of my immediately bubble who isn't going through the same thing
