You can't assume that anyone sees the same mess that you see. In my marriage, things being neat and tidy is more important to me. When I come home from work, I do what I think needs to be done, but I don't get frustrated or upset with my wife, because she didn't do what I think needed to be done.

That expectation of intuitiveness leads to a lot of frustration and disappointment. I've worked with three counselors that have all said some variation of "don't expect him to read your mind." Reading thru the quotes, I keep seeing a common thread of women wanting their minds read.

Well, he got close, but no where near what I thought he was going to do.
