I was gonna go with Mexican or Italian food, with some traditional Thanksgiving elements in the ingredients.

But now she’s talking about some fajitas Tex Mex garbage so that doesn’t square up with my plans.

I can’t believe it’s taken decades to get to this point tho. DECADES. I’d been looking for my birth family since the moment I understood what adoption was. All I ever encountered were roadblocks and cock blocking from gatekeepers.

But here I am. One step closer.

I’ll be able to get my Real ID and a passport (finally)! And while I’m perturbed this has cost me time and money, it hasn’t cost as much money as I was told it would. For example, there’s no fee to petition the court for my various adoption paperwork. There is a fee for copying, which is fair.

Oh, okay! My biological family lives in Toledo so I keep that time difference in front of me when communicating with them.
