One of the reasons why I go so hard on science misinformation/disinformation, is that as a working scientist it is frustrating to see your research misreported to push an agenda.

For example, consider this piece of right-wing propaganda from The Telegraph that was just published

WTF is the USA getting healthcare advice from a crackpot attorney Dr Sen Cassidy?

This is contemptible. Not only do we now have confirmation Hegseth has been lying from the jump, but it seems neither he nor his team understand that killing everyone on a target list *becomes* an illegal No Quarter Order if targets try to surrender or are neutralized. Their semantic games are vile.

You congress people are confused. There are three co-equal branches of government. The president is in one branch, the congress is in one branch, and the judiciary is in the third. WTF would spend all of their energy being an obdurate parrot for increased power of someone NOT ON YOUR TEAM?!

Agree. Call resignation of Sen Bill Cassidy. This was his responsibility & he failed.
This is all-hands on deck. RFK Jr. wants to destroy vaccination in the US. COVID and HBV vaccination were the first step. These diseases WILL come back. Haha. Guardian contributor Kevin Schrum posting EV disinformation. Somehow guardrails have been sufficient for 7,000-8,000 lb Escalade (5500 curb + 2000 payload) and pickups for the last 25 years, but suddenly not sufficient for a 4,500 lb VW ID.4.

If nothing else credit the marketer for max profit motive. Any mention of pres 47 name would likely trigger a licensing claim. The model is “DT47”, a mark that pres 47 likely hasn’t claimed. Doubt that pres is profiting from the sale.

I’m guessing that swearing in is written into the constitution and not just a tradition? If not written into the constitution, then she and other members need to proceed to respect the votes of the people that sent her there.
Swearing in isn’t some ceremony. You aren’t a member of Congress until it happens. He knows that.

No phones, no staff, nothing.

I had to escort her into the Capitol on Wed bc Capitol police must treat her as a public visitor until she’s sworn in. And solo visitors aren’t allowed during shutdown!

This was always the play. Joe was never ever going to back any policy that slowed the burning of carbon for energy, the original source of his family wealth. Mancin is the embodiment of “It is difficult to get a man to understand a thing when his salary depends on not understanding it.”
This explains it

I’m wondering why Miller doesn’t get more attention. It seems that Miller is effectively running the entire country with zero accountability.
