Perfect weather last week for some RPAS survey work. We're still evaluating the L1 against photogrametry so double the flights.

Normally we worry about biofouling on instruments directly impacting data quality. Recently we've seen a side effect in a ADCP which was out in tropical waters, with coral growth making the instrument a bit too appealing to local parrotfish! Not great for either the fish or the instrument ☹️

Recently been working on something a little different, an itteration of the SalDec (sand impact) sensor (10.1016/j.aeolia.2017.11.003).

This pushes the boundaries of my experience with development and I'm really enjoying it. Today, initial testing gave results in line with previous publications! 🥳
