Exactly right. Beyond infuriating. Few seem to grasp the fact that where we are today is not some anomaly, and we could in fact imagine, and build, a better web.

Lots of phone anxiety and lots of careful thought into wording communication but at least it could be segmented off during a break or after school, but still at school because you could only use the school phone really.

Interesting to think about the differences between sitting in front of a computer and sitting in more meetings. An unintended consequence of tech though essential to its current design.

Also I remember teaching in a very phone-reliant classroom because one colleague refused email.
