Not to be a contrarian, but aren't the generation of people raised and traumatised by these films now the people who are doing stupid shit as adults? Or is it more of a constant exposure to these that reinforces the social norms?

Absolutely, I think the majority of accommodations don't offer anything to you unless you actually need them.

I think people underestimate just how much of a chokehold societal pressure has over people to be perceived as "normal". Yes, you can get a bit of extra time on your exam, but you are also often isolated in a separate room and highlighted as requiring "special" accommodations.

Every time I tell anyone on the NHS how long I've been waiting for this scan, they're shocked; everyone has said "it only usually takes 2 weeks". I've been waiting for 15 weeks.

I got sick of hearing nothing, so I called the department today, and they're trying to tell me that the referral was only made on the 17th of November, according to their system.

However, I must say that I think there is a limit to an open democratic institution. I know the Greens are a one-member-one-vote party, but when they were developing as a party and bedding in, they didn't have thousands of members all with varying levels of concern about ideological purity.
