Payment processors shouldn’t control what content we get to buy or get paid for!! Conservative weirdos on their moral crusades are very good at organizing and strong arming companies and it’s long overdue the rest of us use those same tactics. Contact your credit card company.

I'm doing research on NSFW-friendly storefront alternatives, mostly focused on games, but I'm also keeping creators who do books, comics, artbooks, etc. in mind. It sucks to keep packing your bags and moving but I know folks are looking for options.

I know we're upset about itch, but they're not the only ones

Payment processors harassed companies bc of a 1,000 email hate campaign

But we can EASILY top 1,000!

I prewrote an email + got the contact info - you just have to send!

We CAN make a difference 💕

atp i need bigger name romance publishers to speak tf up bc with book bans already in full swing and getting worse, who's to say even straight shit isn't next. who's to say all romance stories, no matter how "clean" you make them, aren't next? they already think all romantasy is "useless fairy smut"

personally i think when communicating with businesses like The Card Companies you're better off roleplaying a frustrated customer who wants to spend money. you are just a normal fuckin guy and who are they to tell you how to spend your money? it's a free country. you're an adult with income.

Antiporn groups said they were only going after games with violence against women. But what got censored? Award-winning games about disordered eating, LGBTQ+ games and anything flagged NSFW.

@megannicolett.bsky.social's reporting raises alarms about the real danger of this censorship campaign.
Steam and Itch.io Are Pulling ‘Porn’ Games. Critics Say It's a Slippery Slope to More Censorship
A conservative group is targeting payment processors as “a weapon” to get adult games deindexed in storefronts. Even games that have nothing to do with sex or abuse have been caught in the dragnet.
