Former NASA astronaut Garrett Reisman (who consults for space x) once made that comparison about musk and Howard Hughes. He then tried to walk it back. I wonder if he feels different now. I think he was on to something.

Going after a studio like this, over this, is ridiculous. They're a small shop making great games and treating their people well. Respect their right to decide matters like this internally. Save the outrage for the slave shops that deserve it.

Don't kid yourself, twitters influence on the last election was huge. The old broadcast medium only holds sway over older generations. Social media is where modern influence happens. Those sound bites move discussion here, and they can be created anywhere, not just at legacy broadcasts.

I'm not sure I can even trust the active user numbers of Twitter at this point. That place is overrun by bots.

Engagement on bsky looks solid. Growth is steady. Bot and spam accounts are actively banned. I'm feeling optimistic about the current trajectory.
