@panic.com The new iPadOS looks much more macOSy now that they finally conceded classic windows is the way. The main problem remains the lack of actual software such as Nova with Transmit and web inspector and Prompt. Is there any chance they will be coming to iPad Pro?

Had hoped we would get keywords exposed and editable in photo details like captions. And still can’t create an Apple shortcut for photos that are no in any album. Maybe next year! #ios26 #applephotos

The improved to iOS 26 Maps so nice in theory but when driving 99% of the time Waze alerts to all hazards / speeds traps and Maps misses them all. So will be hard for it to better pre-route if it doesn’t have the active user community data Waze does. #ios26

HBO is a long time powerhouse of seemingly biggest single collection of the best content. Throwing away that brand equity was insane for a name so many products are using. Only thing more surprising is that they are actually doing a 180 rather than digging in their feet. @gruber.foo

Hoping this is the year @dayoneapp.com get's spotlight support + iOS search term highlighting like Apple Notes, Bear, etc support. Search has always been a weak spot for D1 and inconsistencies between iOS/macOS. But Bear/Notes still lack calendar view and @bearnotesapp.bsky.social lacks folders.

@readwise.bsky.social Is there any progress on support of HackerNews? With other RSS readers has comment link to view the comments which is what many of us view far more than the actual article. Same with @gruber.foo DF which was fixed a year or two ago but hoping HN also almost resolved?

@obsidian.md Are there any plans eventually for a native app for Mac rather than Electron? Or does the entire ecosystem rely on it being electron so very unlikely? It's the one notable downside for me, vs apps that are macified but don't support local md files.

Hoping 2025 is the year @Lightroom Classic gets keyword syncing to Lightroom Cloud. Ideally hierarchal, but even just flattened like when exporting an image from LR Classic and importing into LR Cloud. Or a Lightroom Pro for iOS so pro users can finally have a desktop/mobile unified ux. @adobe.com
