this is so not surprising if you're following people like @histoftech.bsky.social or @hypervisible.bsky.social or @meredithmeredith.bsky.social or @ruha9.bsky.social; like this shouldn't come as shocking -i think at most i'm triangulating some ideas that are right there- but worth saying/repeating

Getting real loud with what used to be the quiet part.

There are certainly administrations that weaponize the immigration system to the fullest extent, those who wield it in the most dangerous ways possible. But EVERY administration, no matter the party, dehumanizes migrants, uses them as political pawns, and subjects them to horrendous abuse.
