Yes. And the border guards themselves will be temped to get onboard. Because what’s the harm is a truck load of oil filters? Some engines gonna get maintained!

Oh. Starmer is doing it to prep a handy excuse? Hmmmm

Seeing Trump lean on the door frame of the 747 at his disposal, returning from a game of golf, and complain about how badly Europe has treated the US… yeah not very convincing.

Exactly this. One man has (so far) been allowed to bend his rules past breaking point to create a global impact far beyond what any democratic system is designed to permit. One man!

To declare globalisation dead at this point is silly indeed. To my mind it’s Starmer 1st misstep. And it’s a big one.

I think there’s small print in the current deal with the EU that might be a spanner in those works. Unless adjustments are agreed. Which would take time even with a reasonable consensus.

I’m sorry too. However, I think there is a lesson come due. Clowns and circuses etc.

The thing that intrigues me is that industrialising the US will take the best part of a decade. Which exceeds the US presidential term by some margin. So it seems unlikely to complete. Time will tell I suppose.
