Let's wait and see who is right—Trump or the Experts. My bet is the Experts are right along. If his tariffs fail, we should trust the experts from the beginning and never doubt them. There are reasons why we have had them in the first place.

I fear that Trump's careless and aggressive tariffs would likely weaken the economy and push the U.S. into a recession, and since he was just starting his presidency, it could be a long one to recover.
