>humans were never meant to live stacked on top of one another like sardines!!

totally forgot that ancient civilizations lived miles away from everything and only came together for groceries from the great costco castle.

Bush Sr signed into law the ADA. Can you imagine any sitting republican doing anything as helpful as that lol

ngl i would be spending money in cap hill downtown area on the regular if the bike facilities there were better. it just feels like a car sewer.

strange because the residential streets to the east are all pleasant to cycle on. small, quiet. hardly any traffic

do you hear that? millions of californians crying out in horror at the fact that more people might live near them. it’s beautiful.

the replies are upsetting
America is not building enough housing and Americans are facing sky-high housing costs as a result.

Today, the Senate took a historic step to change that.

The ROAD to Housing Act will help communities – urban, suburban, and rural – build more housing and bring down costs.

cap hill downtown is such a fun area but i’m a bit confused at the space for cars in this little area. it just doesn’t make any sense. too much road. not enough people space

i wanna start backpacking some trails around the seattle area with my dog

the crushing weight of losing something you took for granted but was actually the life blood holding you together is quite unbearable

so far really love living in capitol hill. the housing is incredibly diverse here. a wonderful mixture of apartment buildings, stacked flats, row homes, town homes, single family homes, etc.

good vibes. just a few too many rushing cars at some hours lol

imo we really need to start pressing on not just residential upzoning, but rezoning to allow for shops/cafes in neighborhoods. traffic is already a problem because people all have to driving to monolithic shopping zones. we need those zones IN our neighborhoods to eliminate trips.

really getting tired of seeing “the problem is affordability” in response to wanting more homes.

housing feels like an uphill battle on a 90 degree incline

you can kill someone with you car while speeding and sleep in your own bed at night.

but swerve on a bike?

deeply unserious country. i feel like im in the matrix where the masters are the corpos who sell us medicine for diseases they cause.

Someone I know took this video today. They said that the kid was riding a CitiBike while swerving. The cops stopped him and then jumped him.

Full-on police abuse.

I think many people genuinely think community outreach is left-wing (participatory democracy and all that) even when what the community wants is substantively right-wing.

found a reddit account who has 4 years of shilling for the Boring Company’s vegas loop lol.

nearly every post was saying how the peak capacity during CES was a feat so great it puts city’s LRT systems to shame.

bot? probably

is there a word for the online phenomena where people read opinions from completely separate groups, but since those groups intersect on some other topics, they think it’s the same group?

forever wondering when the T muni line will be a functioning train line and not a slow as shit abomination.
