My Thanksgiving dinner (my choice), all made from scratch: chicken katsu, vegetable tempura, vegetable fried rice, and a salad with homemade ginger dressing. Extra ginger dressing on the chicken and tempura. Not in the photo: homemade vegetable egg roll. It was good, but took a long time to make!

Not having a traditional Thanksgiving, but made this fresh apple Amish cake. My husband doubted my baking abilities, but deemed this a delicious. He should know better than to doubt my ability to get a good recipe and that I’m a good all-around cook.

My day yesterday was at a car show behind a Porsche dealership. It was more for my son than anyone else. He enjoyed it, at least, but my hip is paying for it today from all the standing, walking, and driving. (That’s his dad and uncle with him.)
