thought I posted but must have forgotten to click post 🫣 earlier today I experimented with a mysterious tea from bitter leaf teas!

first gongfu session / mystery tea in a long time but didn't feel scared or anxious thanks to all the classes I've taken at @beingtea.com

been having an awful sort of week, as I imagine so many others are having. finances, health, etc. the battery has been on empty for far too long.

I went for my favorite bagged tea was reminded of how much I love tea and how much peace it brings me from all the madness.

apparently I haven't journaled properly since April 17th which marks the last time I properly brewed tea until today 🥲 here is a personal blend I made at a tea workshop I took earlier this year before everything felt a bit too overwhelming...

honestly 😎 pretty proud of myself though, it tastes 🤌

I'm so absent minded these days, I thought I posted but I didn't... glad for some peace before the chaos that was today

staying in today which means it's time to do @beingtea.com experiments which means my little chicken gets to swim in tea 🫖🐥

testing my tolerance (migraine sensitivities) to gongfu strength brewing of my bi lo chun 😍 so far so good and I'm happy since I love this tea brewed hot over cold

on top of just being a magical person in general - @beingtea.com 's living space is sort of like Mary Poppins magic bag. watching Sooz pull teacups out of the ceiling, pots from under the desk like a magical tea fairy🧚🍵

If anyone also wants to see the magic, i highly recommend being a member

REALLY late but here is a sad recap of my monthly empties for January and a more fun recap of my 365 doodle project!

also I'm still really struggling drinking all my black tea, I've got a big spike in anxiety and migraines so going to try to maybe move some of my black tea for summer cold brews..

I realized I've been using way too little leaves...but I think for Western brewing I will stick to ~2.5 grams per 200ml of water. Hoping to experiment more with gongfu style this year and maybe I'll change my mind 😅 but right now playing with black teas and skirting the line of migraines....

when you're caffeine sensitive but it's technically 1 minute til noon so you brew one more cuppa tea
