tired of being sick but more frustrating is being sick and dealing with a healthcare system that doesn't support those who need it. it's like everything is jumping through constant hoops. anxious and angry that the first day in weeks of not being bedridden is spent on the phone with no answers.

been having an awful sort of week, as I imagine so many others are having. finances, health, etc. the battery has been on empty for far too long.
I went for my favorite bagged tea was reminded of how much I love tea and how much peace it brings me from all the madness.

apparently I haven't journaled properly since April 17th which marks the last time I properly brewed tea until today 🥲 here is a personal blend I made at a tea workshop I took earlier this year before everything felt a bit too overwhelming...

struggling. my body swapped migraines for vertigo, and then swapped vertigo for crippling joint pain whenever it 🌧️
first brew session in a week and it's a struggle to hold the teacup but if i don't do this today i'll surely go mad

just had a 3 day cold brewed 30 year old aged puerh. It seems that if I cold brew it it doesn't trigger a migraine for me and I guess I'm experiencing being tea drunk midway through working on taxes 😅

I've been feeling so many colors lately, blue - red - green 😔 took a moment to go back and focus on tea and I'm feeling better for now. Trying to not let the world make me down, work make me mad, and my body from falling apart.

on top of just being a magical person in general - @beingtea.com 's living space is sort of like Mary Poppins magic bag. watching Sooz pull teacups out of the ceiling, pots from under the desk like a magical tea fairy🧚🍵

even though it's a bit pre-emptive, I've been making a lot of cold brew (mostly because of migraines) and me coming to the sad realization that "strong" caffeinated teas are a trigger.

also I'm still really struggling drinking all my black tea, I've got a big spike in anxiety and migraines so going to try to maybe move some of my black tea for summer cold brews..

I realized I've been using way too little leaves...but I think for Western brewing I will stick to ~2.5 grams per 200ml of water. Hoping to experiment more with gongfu style this year and maybe I'll change my mind 😅 but right now playing with black teas and skirting the line of migraines....

getting there... I wanted to re-establish routines for myself but it feels everyday is a whirlwind of things to do as reactions to unexpected events.
