San Francisco 1967: My older brother used to live next door to the Avalon Ballroom. It was a treasure trove of musical and cultural activity. Super enjoyed visiting him as a kid and seeing the Dead and other artists simply hanging out near the front door. Mickey Hart gave me his drumsticks.

We had it on reel-to-reel back in 1966. I was 6. I used to help spool the tape. Bobby Scott wrote "A Taste of Honey" back in 1960...won the Grammy in 1963.
