Quantitative interactomics team located at iBV (Nice, France). We study motif-mediated interactions using innovative systems biochemical approaches. Developers of the ProfAff affinity interactomics database.
According to ChatGPT, this is a three-stranded coiled coil.

Bluesky, we need your help! Why does plain eGFP partially colocalize with actin filaments in cells? (No bleed-through, observed in multiple cell lines. Whole plasmid sequenced.) #FluorescenceFriday #Microscopy

Congratulations to Boglarka for obtaining a CNRS permanent position! 🎉🥂 She will start a new line of research in the Gogl lab focusing on the quantitative interactomics and biophysics of protein-DNA interactions and their consequences on transcription regulation and chromatin organization.

We like our proteins pure. This is the first #mCherry purification in the new lab. The next ones will be less colorful, I am afraid...

Snapped the first real Gogl team photo just before our pétanque championship. Spoiler: Bogi won! 🏆 #TeamGogl #newPI

Our brand new iD5 multi mode plate reader arrived from Molecular Devices! I cannot wait to see some data measured on it!

These findings reveal the importance of transient motif-mediated interactions in DNA replication posing structural constraints on the replication fork, as well as recruiting proteins to the replisome, but they also show their involvement in other nuclear processes, too. 4/6

Using a combination of interactomic and systems biochemistry screens, we reveal that POLE2 binds to proteins with putative NPF motifs across the proteome! This includes proteins involved in DNA replication, but also in mismatch repair and other pathways. 3/6

Our study starts with a simple question: How can we find partners of fully or partially uncharacterized peptide motifs? We studied a series of NPF motifs and found that POLE2 interacts with many of them. But what does this mean? 2/6

Excited to share our latest preprint! We show how the non-catalytic epsilon DNA polymerase subunit, POLE2, binds to NPF motifs proteome-wide! 1/6

Notes to myself: use a different reference for the next order. (Which may be due in the 2030s...)

A big step for the lab: we finally got a new centrifuge! It is basic, but it is on our floor and it is going to help us enormously! #newPI

Please give me ideas! How am I supposed to lift alone this 80kg shaker on top of a bench?
