My biggest hurdle is having been a Carer for 15 years, while running a tinpot web design business with a very small client base. Their needs are relatively simple and I'm self taught. Can't compete in the real world. Don't need a career though, just a job. 🤷

Amen to this. I've been applying to jobs for months without even a sniff of interest in response. I must have some worth to someone somewhere, it's just finding them and connecting the dots. The quest is the quest. Good luck!

Update. Despite having had the invoice for the past month, and having apologised "for the delay" the client has now decided, on the last day of their current contract, not to renew. I mean, it's not like I have paid out any expenses on their behalf or anything...
