This site is fascinating. Explore the horrific amount of space junk around our planet or track satellites.
A superb database! Also pretty horrendous.

Lovely animation for those teaching the atmosphere. Helps to visualise angle of rays in relation to the Earth's orbit, explain seasons and energy surplus/deficit.

Clach Thoull is a raised sea arch at Port Appin. Formed when the power of the sea carved into a downward fault plane in the headland, it was subsequently raised by post-glacial isostatic uplift.

Bit of shameless promotion which does however show the huge potential of templates available for students to use on Canva.

Fluvioglacial features of Glenmore, Cairngorms. Stunning An Lochan Uaine (Green Loch) is an esker dammed lake. Green colour is caused by fairies washing clothes say locals. Alternatively it's tree reflection or algae. Esker is marked on photo.

One of the unusual sights in the Ojców National Park in Poland. When this area was part of the Russian Empire, the Tsar decreed there should be no sacred buildings built on this land. This was circumvented by building this chapel over water. #geographyteacher #Geography #Ojców

My first, very basic (don't laugh - more practice required) 🤣🤣 animation using @FlipaClip. It is pretty straightforward to use and clearly has huge potential as a teaching aid, or a great activity for any landscape feature formation lessons.

Introduce your students to the GIS world by getting them to make their own interactive maps using Google Sheets
@googlesheets

This demo uses life expect. data copied from Wikipedia for example. Map can then be copied or embedded easily. 😃

Nature taking over when humans abandon. These photos from Pripyat in the Chernobyl exclusion zone show how quickly nature fights back. The tree in the right photo devouring the fence even looks like it has teeth! #pripyat #chernobyl #geographyteacher #geosky #rewilding

Cool geographical fact. The Scottish Highlands, the Appalachians and the Atlas mountains were once part of the same range which spanned Pangea. This ridge was known as the Central Pangean Mountains.

This S1 student is a brilliant artist, but I find that all students love a bit of colouring in and project work. Classes really buy into the "special geographical technique" 😜 of colouring around edges darker and lighter in the middle. Exemplars help.

Great site for all things snow and ice. Animations, iceberg tracking, ice extent comparisons and much more. Lots of potential for impacts of climate change or investigations.
