Do certainly model and scaffold skills, but I think the goal should be learning, not completion of a task or product.

Practice reading decodable passages that include the skills that have been learned. Reading passages helps connect to meaning, helps develop automaticity, and allows practice reading with prosody… 8/n

Speaking aloud when reading and writing - have students say the sounds as they write them and read the word aloud when they’ve written it… 5/n
