Instead, Trauma Responsive Ed needs to be:
✔️Universal, Proactive, Preventative
✔️Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppressive
✔️Fix the inequities that lead to trauma
✔️Systems of support
✔️ Present in the classroom, district, and statewide.
✔️Aim to create a trauma free world.

We think Trauma Responsive Education means:
✏️Social Emotional Learning curricula
✏️Anti Bullying mandates
✏️No Tolerance policies
✏️Expecting families and outside resources to fix the problem
✏️Kids and their problems are something to be "fixed."
All of these can contribute to and perpetuate trauma
