I teach IT in higher ed and I have been tasked to be the "AI guy" for my faculty, so I think about this topic a lot. Usually very critically.

Pronouns: he/him, but feel free to experiment, I don't mind.
But what Khan failed (spectacularly) to understand is that clearly the kid had other reasons to ask this then to understand Washington or US history. Clearly the kid was struggling with self-confidence but because there was no human interaction, the system failed them. 2/2

Here's the most disturbing part: Khan recounts a situation in which a student asked the chat to roleplay Washington and then asked whether he was ever unsure of himself. "Washington" gives a very political answer that yes, but never about "the cause". Khan considers this a great interaction. 1/2

For example, people keep telling me it is very easy to make curricula with AI. How often do they think we do that?

I'm also being told I can update my materials. Okay, but when was the last time those genAI models were updated? They will always lag behind.
