I tried to find “Florida Flora Key” but only (so far) “Florida keys flowers” shows up.
I just emailed it to the extension office in my county that’s connected with a state university. Fingers crossed!

I found florida.plantatlas.usf.edu/plant/result... which has 884 pages for my county alone. Very exciting! But I have to know the species name in order to search. I could not be sure of the genus so I tried to identify via Bot. In A. Day… little help it was… as you said.

There’s no way I would harvest anything without being one hundred percent sure. I don’t even touch the plant if I can’t positively identify it. I’m way too anal for that. I range from familiar to well acquainted with about 130 plants through learning with ethnobotanists.

No, it is not a key. I had Peterson’s field guide to medicinal plants and herbs and Peterson’s field guide to edible wild plants. Did not see it.

I’m not a hundred percent either. I will look at Senico.

I think you’re right. The disk flowers are so tiny I could barely see the details with glasses 𝙖𝙣𝙙 loupe. Like I was really struggling to see what the heck was going on lol.
