This obsessive focus on productivity and assigning monetary value to *every f'n thing* is insidious. It is absolutely dehumanising and a central problem with our political system.

It stinks that so many of the choices we have to make force us into some 'least bad option' scenario. IMHO, the worst are the ones with a hidden non-monetary cost. Usually those have to do with surveilling people to aggregate and sell data for advertising or training AI for the same purpose. 🤮
