This is from 2020. The 'Foreign Student Industry'. I was slightly shocked that *the actual words* made it into the headline.

I am so sorry for you son. It seems especially unfair to have been accepted and now refused a few months later.

It stinks that so many of the choices we have to make force us into some 'least bad option' scenario. IMHO, the worst are the ones with a hidden non-monetary cost. Usually those have to do with surveilling people to aggregate and sell data for advertising or training AI for the same purpose. 🤮
