The government is shut down because Trump and the Republicans are hellbent on taking health care away from you.

And they won’t even come to the table to talk to us about it.

This is not about politics. It's about people.

Let’s break it down:

This thread by a senator suggests that Trump is up to something different than what many assume—he is effectively taking the US/global economy hostage
9/ The tariffs are DESIGNED to create economic hardship. Why? So that Trump has a straight face rationale for releasing them, business by business or industry by industry.

As he adjusts or grants relief, it’s a win-win: the economy improves and dissent disappears.

Got a printer? You can start fighting fascism. Here's a thread of things you can print and distribute. 👇

I promise doing something--even this--feels better than raging silently. And maybe it'll show you that standing up is possible and open you up to more things you can do.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

Here is a quick and helpful explainer on why it's important for ask your senator to vote NO on cloture (not just on the bill itself...). Short version: it's much easier to kill this by voting no on cloture.
Yes means they vote to proceed automatically to a vote and IT only takes 50 votes to pass CR. If it is a NO on cloture, filibuster rules require 60 votes for CR to pass.
That is why some Dems are BSing you. If they vote yes on Cloture they get to "claim" a NO vote on CR but it wont matter.

🚨 We’re hearing this is not a done deal. Your pressure is working.

Republicans need to peel off seven or eight Senate Democrats for today’s cloture vote. Keep calling and telling Dems to hold the line against this extreme MAGA spending bill.
