From this 🇨🇦's personal perspective: when Sandy Hook changed *nothing*, most faith in the ability to pass meaningful gun laws was lost. Worrying about friends in the USA is just a constant hum since. I'm so sorry your country is so broken and your politicians so feckless as to allow this to continue

I hope that everyone doesn't just stick with their designated groups all season. So much of the fun of CMBF is in the mixing and mingling everyone does between team shuffles/roommates/etc.
I know the performances will still be jaw-dropping, I'm just worried everything else will be boring lol

The group introductions/interviews just don't do much to really introduce you to everyone, unfortunately. "PROME" is also disadvantaged by this along with the added complication of being a full rock band where only one guy really sings.

After the first part of the S5 premiere, I know that these kids like to eat and sleep and that Nathan Lee was one of their mentors.
Meanwhile, the first 40 mins of the S4 premiere had those junior members gossiping and tripping and fanboying all over the place.

But after all three parts of s5ep1, I still know nothing about this pre-formed boyband of 18-20 year olds. They're completely blank to me. I'm sure I'll learn more about them individually eventually, but right now they're just a faceless clump of pop stars I've never heard of

The thing about s4 is that the younger guys (in their 20s) immediately established their personalities and came from different backgrounds so mostly everyone was meeting for the first time.

They are subtitled on the MGTV app/website usually a day after airing (including the team intro and 1-3)
The youtube channel will probably get better at updating the subs earlier as the season goes on, it's always a little shaky on that front at the beginning

Yeah, I'm not thrilled by the format this season, but I'm still excited to see how it goes. Bo Yuan participated in s3, and Gao Qingchen participated last year in s4 when there were half a dozen guys under the age of 30 mixed in. The way this new boyband is just wedged in as 1 unit is frustrating
