Striking picture of how much (really, how little) food and other aid has been coming into Gaza over the last several months.

Here's what everyone should know about the latest version of the OBBA. I don't expect the House to produce something that improves on these metrics meaningfully, and there's a good chance they'll make it worse.

Nuclear physics, sounds like some woke liberal BS, no need to fund that, right?

Whoever thought that the Senate would reign in some of the fiscal irresponsibility of the House was badly mistaken.

The Senate looks poised to make it worse.

Not only are our policymakers being fiscally irresponsible, they're being dishonest with the American public about how irresponsible they're being.

"No credible estimate finds the OBBBA will pay for itself"

We're digging ourselves deeper into a large fiscal hole FOR NO GOOD REASON. This could be disastrous if there's a large recession where running a large deficit would actually be helpful.

The CBO has analyzed the distributional impacts of H.R. 1, a.k.a. the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Household resources for the bottom income decile would fall by 4% ($1,600), largely due to Medicaid & SNAP cuts.

The top income decile will see increases of 2.3% ($12,000), largely due to tax cuts.

This is what MAGA Republicans are seeing, and it's very disturbing because the answer to "Does the judicial branch have the final say in determining what is or is not constitutional?" is YES.

Luckily, they weren't hurt, but the experience of a missile strike nearby was traumatic for them, to say the least. Her husband Anatoliy's office, located across the street from where the first rocket hit, suffered damage from the blast wave, as did many other buildings.

Turns out, the Art of the Deal is breaking something and claiming credit when you tape half of it back together.
