It's been obvious for a long time that in order to beat the Republicans, we'll first have to beat the establishment Democrats.

That's because so much of the Dem base are robotic VBNMW voters, and will proudly tell you so. They've accepted that they can never demand anything from the politicians that supposedly represent them. You can't convince them otherwise.

You lost. You had the advantage and surrendered (again). You either lost control of your caucus, or you allowed this to happen.
