Hell of a way to find out that the robot from ROCKY IV was murdered

If I didn’t limit myself to one film per director, THERE WILL BE BLOOD would probably be on this ballot. Also tomorrow morning I’ll want to change stuff for sure, but I definitely love all these films very much.

I really needed this subheadline, because the main headline initially seemed like a metaphor.

Cleansing the timeline momentarily with a shot I took of @actualylt.bsky.social playing in Los Angeles last night. Fascism is rapidly taking hold, but at least there are still Yo La Tengo shows to attend!

I’m so sorry, just had to get this photo juxtaposition out of my system.

Saw another in a decades-long line of incredible Gillian Welch & David Rawlings shows last night at the Wiltern. Forgot that “you tell Musso, I'll tell Frank” was coming in “The Way It Goes”, was delighted by the cheer L.A. gave it. Also should we just call them “Welch & Rawlings” now? I like it.

You just know the folks at Hellmann’s saw Jason Alexander pulling a Norbit in those Mike’s Amazing Mayo ads and were like, “Time to pull out the big guns.”

If he’s fulfilling his musical guest duties in character, it would be so cool and Boblike of him to switch eras and do a Rolling Thunder “Isis”

They really should have a different alert sound for “Disregard last evacuation warning,” because the one they use is the audio equivalent of “GET THE HELL OUT NOW!”

Rickey Henderson was among the most exciting athletes ever - but my first memory upon hearing of his passing was of the Mets’ “Turn Ahead the Clock Night” in 1999, when screens showed him w/alien ears and a third eye as he came to bat. He visibly shook his head in disgust & it still makes me laugh.

Okay but the fight would have been just as unwatchable without the glitches

Amy Winehouse at Bowery Ballroom, NYC, March 13, 2007 (a bad flip phone shot but I’m blessed to have it)

Pretty sure I haven’t seen one of these movies since the one De Palma directed in the ’90s, but there’s a good chance it will destroy me mentally if they don’t also retroactively rename “Dead Reckoning Part One”

My phone just put this together for me, making me very sad I haven’t taken a notable amount of toilet photos over the years

Agree, it’s quite good! Thanks for the reassurance.
