The HHS Secretary, is planning to remove all 16 members of the USPSTF the expert panel that decides which preventive services (cancer screenings, HIV prevention meds) must be covered by insurers under the Affordable Care Act.

There were 3 #HandsOff protests in #Pittsburgh today, with the smallest one held later in the day in Shadyside. Still had a few hundred people show up - despite the rainy weather!

My own flow is always:

CLARIFY - do I understand this?

CONFIRM - is it correct & still current?

CONDENSE - strip out excess

CONVEY - get it into the right hands, make sure they know priority

None of these steps are easy right now.

Lots of good info in this thread. At a minimum, I highly recommend downloading the PDFs in the first post and then talking to your health care provider about getting up-to-date on all your vaccines in the near future. Note that most interactive tools on CDC sites had already been removed 1/
