Only the 52nd day of 100+ degrees and 2 weeks since the service blackout that destroyed our AC. Luckily we’ve had 5 window units gathered from family to use in interim while waiting aka fighting with our home warranty company aka crooks to honor our contract . This morning I feel rather like this —

Morning coffee read and scrolled down the feed re: Magic and Neil Gaiman chatter. Admittedly it surprises me when a reader gets stuck on magic, aka wonder and curiosity or why the question is asked: Why magic? Because I bet, at one time, we all felt like we lived The Ocean At The End Of The Lane.

So before the air outside turned to Venusian hell and the UVI got so high it burned my eyeballs - I actually would take my big puppy, Atticus, for a long walk along the creek trails. He is a treeing-walker coonhound mix - rescued of course - with a brother dog living in much cooler Seattle.
