Looking forward to seeing Ricardian colleagues again after the summer hiatus. #RichardIII #EdwardIV #WotR #medieval
Our first meeting since we broke for the summer is this Sunday. Members have been reading Thomas Penn's The Brothers York and an interesting conversation is practically guaranteed. Our mtgs are online so members coast to coast can join in. Image Bodleian Library Douce 287 fp5v

The Chair of the Richard III Society, Amanda Geary laid this beautiful wreath at the tomb of Richard III at Leicester Cathedral yesterday. Then she and Sally Henshaw from the Leicestershire branch, as well as a tourist from New Zealand, laid single roses.

It's wonderful to see new artwork commemorating #RichardIII and those who fell at #Bosworth on 22 August 1485. #RIP
The church of St. James, Sutton Cheney saw a special service yesterday marking the new sculpture in the churchyard. Richard's prayer was read by the Leicestershire Branch Chair, Richard Smith. This is part of the new sculpture trail in the area. www.richardiiicountry.com/richard-iii/... #RichardIII

2024 is the centenary of the Richard III Society. July 6th is when we are celebrating not only in the UK but in branches around the world. Here in Canada we will have an event at the historic Montgomery's Inn. A speaker, & catered lunch with the key parts being zoomed to members across the country.
