Finding out Young Fathers did the music for 28 Years Later is the first thing that has really made me want to see it. I've been listening to it and finding it quite nice.

Movie posters and ratings out of five for my last four films watched: Good Luck to You, Leo Grand: 4.5 The Banshees of Inisherin: 4.5 Run Lola Run: 4.5 O Brother, Where Art Thou: 5 Leo Grande is a simple but effective "two-hander" (which presumably also describes its title character's member) about a widow who hires an escort because she's never had good sex. Leo is courteous, gentle, and patient as their sessions end up being more talk therapy than sex, but he sticks it out because he is naturally empathetic and genuinely enjoys connecting with all his clients emotionally as well as physically. It's not a movie for everyone, but I think more will abandon it out of boredom than discomfort as it is ultimately very wholesome (though there is nudity). Me, I was drawn in immediately by the performances, including Emma Thomson, whom I've loved since Stranger Than Fiction, but didn't recognize until I saw her name in the credits. Anyway, I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats, etc.

I will have to re-watch A Cure for Wellness to figure out how I feel about it (other than 'icky'). I respect it, though; Gore took a swing with that one.

That line is such a good microcosm, too. “I found your [heart], too, and it was still beating.” They saw each other's hearts as well as their own in The Pink Opaque TV series, versions of themselves before they were suppressed and remolded. Tara's love for Isabel is so strong it breaks my heart. 📽️💔
