The ballot boxes are guarded by volunteers at all times and random voters certify that the boxes are empty before use.

You can put an X on either the party or the candidate. Nothing else is allowed. Any other writing will invalidate the ballot.
After checking off each ballot, you fold them up and exit out the other side of the voting booth through another curtain.

I arrived at one of the busiest times, just after 6pm.
It took me around 5-10 minutes to get my ballots and vote.
We are voting in 2 elections, city council and regional council.

One of the first signs that the election campaigns have started are the posters of the candidates that will be put up in lamp posts all over the country.
