This kind of hyperbolic hysteria ratchets up the extremely tense political climate that fosters violence. Unfortunately, this bodes well for the self-serving politician more concerned with social media stats rather than social cohesion and the public good.

Seriously. No one in northern Brisbane or Western Sydney thinks about teal talking points on campaign funding when walking into a voting booth. They're disillusioned because L/NP 9 yrs of policy has held back their wages, locked people out of education and made it near impossible to see a BB GP.

Haven't seen anything in the reporting that these were the reasons. Happy to be corrected. X-bench thought it went too far restricting free speech. MSM would have been included now most see their articles via social media. Reforming MSM at source would require a different bill to give ACMA teeth.
