Attorney from Tulsa. Sometimes funny things happen when I’m involved.
“Insufferable.” “Negative lens.” “Big legal stick.” “Queen.” Girl dad. Fan of of the University of Tulsa, Thunder, Chiefs, Cardinals, and OU football.
the worst thing you can do if you have repeatedly asserted the process violates your rights is fail to show up to assert those rights.

myriad of issues, including alleged criminal history, a non-existent criminal scheme that the defendant eventually admitted wasn’t true, and even the sexuality of certain people, implying my client was a pedophile.

The defendant didn’t show up. That was a mistake. I told the Court that

I don’t see any other electable candidate from the state GOP that isn’t hell bent on dismantling schools, courts, or all services. The St. Isidore case is a good example of what separates him from legitimately fascist interest groups. I don’t agree with everything he says, but he’s clearly better.

He’s a good guy. Way better than the alternatives next year.

Finally, it started with a traffic stop. This happens all over the country all day long. The big issue locally is why the heck the sheriff is doing this and what role they serve in local law enforcement. They have plenty to do, ranging from guns to major investigations to the jail. Traffic? Really?

Fifth, Mike Manning is just a good dude. Sen. Goodwin is lucky he was just happening by. He handled the whole thing with professionalism and decency and got her out of a bad deal. He’s one of the good guys.

Sixth, I thought I would be more bothered by Mayor Nichols being there than I was. He 5/

was overkill. He wasn’t clear in his statements to her and made certain representations (that she “jumped” out of her car) that I don’t think he could prove. He seems to realize he screwed up part of this, but then can’t maintain decorum. He should have called her “Sen. Goodwin,” not “Mrs.” 4/

none of the deputies even know who she is. That says too much about our body politic.

Third, Sen. Godwin should have handed over her ID. There’s no reason not to. That just made this worse.

Fourth, I question the professionalism of the officer. Some of what he did was fine and some of it was 3/

seems like the precise waste in resources that Republicans constantly complain about.

Second, given the proclivity of the sheriff to engage in partisan politics, it’s hard not to question the motive here, although I don’t think this deputy was bright enough to single out Sen. Godwin. Its clear 2/
