Yep, pretty much. I absolutely believe plenty of people can go to a casino on occasion and have fun. That's fine! I am just not going to be one of them.

I'll never forget it. It was like, "if you're working and a piece of furniture breaks or gets a really bad stain, this is the room you can put it in. But importantly, DO NOT sit on or touch the other furniture in here. This is why."

It was a good, fun college job. I also have never enjoyed time at a casino since. Once you've worked at one and you started to *recognize faces* of the regulars.....nah.

Oh, I worked at a restaurant inside a casino for a year in college. This is ABSOLUTELY a thing. At orientation we saw the room where ruined stools and chairs were put. Some of them just had broken, normal chair stuff. Others had been shit or pissed on. This is absolutely true and was not a secret.

If Democrats had never done a shutdown, people would be pissed at them. If they caved in another month, people would be pissed. If they never caved and millions of people starved to death, everyone would also be pissed at them.

People on here seem to genuinely only be happy when they can be angry at Democrats, or attacking those who aren't.

Which is not real life, and makes being on here a real downer at times. It also hurts our chances to support one another.

Folks are so online they think performance is everything.
But the truth is that elections have consequences.
America gave control of the government to maga last year.
Scotus, White House, Congress.
That is the hard truth.
Keep the government open or closed.
Both options suck.

People want to live in a dreamland where the results of the 2024 election somehow don't matter that much.
That we can just press a magic button and everything is fixed.
The hard reality is that the president is a psychopath w scotus and congress on his side.
There's no easy fix to that situation.
