It was interesting watching I Saw The TV Glow a year after I had last seen it, and with a straight cis man in my watch group as well, while I was crying a little bit by the end, he was left very confused, and I had to explain it to him. Fantastic movie though, still my favorite of the decade

I'm so glad it interests you! It's a series that meant a lot to me when I was younger. It was very influential to me in regard to the kinds of anime/books/movies I enjoy the most.

Seeing this was like a blast to the past, haha. I used to be super big into the gritty, darker vocaloid stuff (and a lot of my favorites are still those). Have you checked out the Bookmark of Demise Project? It's more than just vocaloid, but the music is the centerpiece.

Now I get to meet up with friends up North and have a good summer vacation in a city I've only been to once before (and didn't stay long in). It's nice to travel to new places when possible.

Always open to more recs :> I've heard an overwhelming chunk of the 90s emo stuff, but anything after is a coin flip. Some of my favorites outside Indian Summer are Breakwater, Van Pelt, The Lazarus Plot, Barrel, and Blake, if it helps you to narrow down recommendations.

Silver Case has been one that's intrigued me for a long time, but only just got around to purchasing. It's by the same guy who made killer7, which is one of my favorite games, so figure it was about time to give it a try. Mahoyo and Planetarian are great, as expected of both TM and Key.
