Awesome... Sad there was no Bodys, but the meledy of Happy News -> Stoop Kid -> Something Soon -> Beach Life in Death -> My Boy almost certainly made up for it. Extremely fun show, and some people who sat in front of me in the premium section gave me a little collectable. Thank you gay people.

Excited to finally be at a Car Seat Headrest concert, I got tickets to shows in 2020 and 2022, but both got canceled for COVID reasons. This one was looking dicey too because of the weather, but managed to clear up. Very glad to finally get to see my most-listened band.

Finished my pride month 2025 watchlist for the year, and was very happy with the picks. Watched them with a group of friends, and a lot of them were re-watches, but even with the re-watches, I found myself having new perspectives on things I didn't understand back when I first watched them.

Bought physical books for the first time in a long while, love my e-reader, but just doesn't cut it anymore for some works. Excited to flip pages again

After being busy for so many weeks and not really having time to catch up with the anime / manga you were reading, it's nice to be able to get back on track. Returning to a VN you didn't have the time to read anymore is always a nice treat.

Decided to have a little fun this year and made a (probably bad) decision to travel out of my state to go to Chicago to see Car Seat Headrest live. I'm sure if I waited just a few months for their album later this year, they would've had a show closer to home, but where's the fun in that?

Was hoping my new headphones would come in for my birthday today, but inclement weather has delayed it to (probably) tomorrow. It's been a long 5 days without a pair of headphones for my PC.

Always a treat for lastfm to show me how obsessive my listening can get

Still unbelievable to me that Hirasawa decided to make the greatest song ever recorded, and then proceeded to drop it on an album filled with mostly reworkings of his old material. Absolute boss move

Winter Sale pickups. Thinking about grabbing FMD Muramasa from JAST as well, but that's a bit out of my price range right now. Maybe in two weeks when I get my next paycheck? JAST's sale should be still on at that time...

I've had a lifelong fascination with vocal synths, but I always come in and out of the phase. Recently got back into them, and decided to check out some UTAU songs I listened to all the time, and dare I say these are the best vocal synth songs anyone has ever produced.

I also overestimated how tapped in normal people were, so when I brought up Satoshi Kon and Perfect Blue, the conversation went a little something like the image below. Needless to say, this is a problem, and I will probably get called "unc" the next time I go in

Discussed anime for the first time with my coworkers tonight, and it turns out that everything I thought was popular and will continue to stay popular didn't, and is anywhere from 10 to 40 years out of date

Re-watched Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) for the first time since I saw it in theaters back in 2017. My thoughts on the movie are (still) incredibly mixed, and I think that I'll just have to accept the fact that this movie isn't meant for me personally.

Told myself I'd go to sleep early today for work later, and then I proceed to play Holocure for a 6-hour session. Oops.

Wrapped from this year! Not a bad year, but looking forward more to the roundup lastfm will give me at the very end of the year. I'm missing half of my plays since I refuse to touch Spotify on my PC.

It's hard for me to fit in things to say in batches of 300 characters, but if you like that old school art-style and want an anime to watch (it's under 2 hours), check it out! I find it strange how it's not more well known, maybe because it was made when they were a for-hire studio?

I find it a very fascinating watch. Gainax divides the upbeat story into different segments by interviewing real life otaku and getting their opinion and outlook on things. It's a very depressing switch from the fictional show to the real people, and shows how otaku were maligned back in '91.

I shouldn't be as excited as I am over this, but it seems like I'm finally getting 5G in my area. I connected to it for the first time earlier this year when visiting NYC, but figured the speed was just a NYC thing. Turns out, that's the speed everywhere! It's way faster than 4G.

50-piece nuggets at Wendy's? For $16? In THIS economy? I was picking up food for a friend, and I didn't even know they had this. Elite deal of a lifetime, I don't think I'll be hungry over the next 3 days after downing this

Watched Fujimoto's LOOK BACK with a friend today now that it came to streaming. Probably my favorite of his works that I've read / seen. Fantastic and beautifully animated, excited to see what else Studio Durian puts out considering they're relatively new, and taking on a big project like this.

Now reading — hopefully having the anime fresh in my mind helps me differentiate the gems (my first time reading, I had a very hard time trying to sort each gem from one another)
