It was great to be in the organising team with fantastic colleagues. It was a challenging term at university, but we did it, team! yay ! #LTHEChat

Thanks, Bianca, for this interesting topic that I feel is related to. It was a great topic for the last LTHEchat of the term. Thanks to all participants for sharing ideas and thoughts and realise that we are the same boat (but maybe in different seats) #LTHEChat

I'm not sure if this will help, but I share an office with four more colleagues, and from time to time we try to practice the 'We Listen and Don't Judge' approach. At the beginning, we were kidding about it, but then the conversations had more meaning to all of us and we understood others #LTHEChat

Interesting. I noticed that I tend that during that time, I tend to reflect on my own practice, try to be self-aware/conscious and how to manage my emotions in a 'better way' #LTHEChat

A6 A buddy scheme that can guide them during that transition, a network of colleagues who are on the same journey, a community of practice, and training. Offering different spaces for people to engage, face-to-face, online (synchronous and asynchronous) #LTHEChat

A5 The support is good. There are various options, each offering different spaces (face-to-face or online). I am not sure how they monitor success, as they do not tend to share that information with everyone. I think there should be a bottom-up evaluation #LTHEChat

That is a good idea. I recall that during the pandemic, a Wellbeing Buddy scheme was introduced to help us overcome the challenges. But then they stop this scheme. It was a good one as I was paired with someone different in my school #LTHEChat

A4 Some support that my HE institution provides include a counselling service, a wellbeing team and resources, the Spectrum.Life digital platform, Good thinking resources, the Report and Support website. Although sometimes it looks like there is more support for students than for staff #LTHEChat

A3 Finding a community of practice, such as the LTHEchat group, is very helpful and revitalising. At work, I am around people who share a similar background and interests (ish) which is helpful, like Amanda, Andrew, Rachel, Kate, to name a few #LTHECha

That is a very good point. I recall that I wrote something, and it was challenging to find a colleague with the spare time to review it (it was the marking period). I learned to give time for receiving that feedback if possible #LTHEchat

Good example. Well, sometimes you may notice I may make grammatical and pronunciation mistakes, and I come from a different country. Sometimes, I feel scrutinised by students, colleagues, or superiors. Although it may be related to my imposter syndrome as well. I working on that #LTHEchat

A2 In my case, I tend to enjoy my solitude, and I tend to manage when and the time that I can be with people around me. Usually, I felt most lonely at the beginning stage of SoTL projects that I developed, as there may not be much support from colleagues or my superiors #LTHEChat

Good points. Sometimes we may notice some persons and even groups that have their own interests, and the common good tends not to be a priority. It is challenging but there are other persons who we share common goals #LTHEChat

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Sue. Sometimes, in my case, the topic of interest is the scholarship of teaching and learning. Some colleagues may focus on research, and SoTL may be disregarded #LTHEChat

Hi, I am Gustavo, a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster. Time flies, the term has almost finished, but now we have other projects, marking, research, and writing (and preparation for the new semester). Today's topic is something that I really enjoyed discussing #LTHEchat
